At DOWIE DOOLE we believe that wine is a form of art. For more than 20 years our boutique winery has been committed to producing rich, premium wine that is well loved and remembered.
DOWIE DOOLE was founded in 1995 by Drew Dowie and Norm Doole. They have been connected to McLaren Vale community for many years and are renowned grape growers in the region managing a truly unique vineyard.
In 2011 multiple Bushing King and McLaren Vale identity Brian Light passed the DOWIE DOOLE winemaking baton to his long-time protégé Chris Thomas. Together with founder Norm Doole and a small group of like-minded wine lovers, Chris proudly continues the tradition of making outstanding wines from the DOWIE and DOOLE estate vineyards. Vineyard management is led by champions of sustainable viticulture practices Dave Gartlemann and Drew Dowie.
